Joint Venture with North Eastern Settlement Alliance
(St. Paul) – “Securing Our Financial Future” resonated loud and clear in St. Paul Alberta, from the NESA camp. Now NESA is embarking on a bold new journey to secure the financial future of its four communities. To do this, NESA is building a strong foundation, a strategic network of partners and the necessary infrastructure to attract and develop sustainable business opportunities.
The four North East Metis Settlements are now in a position to be a competitive security company. By partnering with GPS Security Group Inc., NESA has acquired the expertise to secure and maintain security contracts for camp, facility and pipeline work.
It’s a win-win-win situation really; the NESA communities win through training, employment and commercial opportunities; all of the stakeholders involved win through the value of this JV; future customers receive exceptional services for a fair value.
GPS has employed senior aboriginal security officers in the Oil and Gas sector. GPS is committed to training and working with aboriginals in Alberta and will continue to work closely with all aboriginal communities in the future.
We’re proud to create economic development for our stakeholders and employment opportunities for the aboriginal people of Alberta. GPS Security Group seeks to grow its services across Alberta and beyond together with the native communities. As stated earlier, our goal is to employ 50% of our staff from the aboriginal tribes and we will continue to offer on-site and off-site security training and job placements to the members of these communities.
